Responsive Design - Target Corporate site

Overview

Target approached our team with a clear goal: bring their corporate site up to modern standards. The existing experience was outdated, not mobile-friendly, and difficult to navigate. We were tasked with reimagining the site as a responsive, user-centered platform that reflected the brand’s scale and values.

Approach

Given the size and complexity of the site, we divided the work across a team of UX designers. I took ownership of the About section and worked closely with my peers to ensure consistency across page templates and interaction patterns. We established a shared design system early on—defining reusable components and breakpoint behavior to streamline the responsive design process.

Collaboration was key. We met weekly with stakeholders at Target to present work, gather feedback, and stay aligned on priorities. Internally, we partnered closely with developers and visual designers, participating in critiques and working sessions to refine and stress-test our ideas.

Outcome

The redesigned site launched smoothly and was met with enthusiasm from both internal stakeholders and Target leadership—including direct praise from the CEO. It stands out as one of my most rewarding projects, not just because of the scale, but because of the trust and collaboration that shaped the process from beginning to end.
